Can the cabinet withstand vibration from the washing machine or dryer?
Yes. Wastoren® washing machine cabinets are designed specifically to absorb the vibration of a washing machine and dryer. That is precisely the difference from an ordinary storage cabinet or kitchen unit, which usually cannot cope with it and can even be unsafe.
How our cabinets absorb vibration
For the WSCS1462 we developed a separate base plate on which the cabinet is built up. Thanks to this construction, the material has the room to absorb the vibration that occurs. That keeps the setup stable and limits noise during the spin cycle.

Why an ordinary cabinet is not enough
A standard storage or kitchen unit is not designed for the constant vibration of a washing machine. That can lead to joints working loose, a machine that walks, and considerably amplified noise, because an unstable cabinet acts like a sounding board. So always choose a cabinet developed and certified specifically for laundry appliances, such as those from Wastoren®.
What does the effect depend on?
For the best result, install the cabinet on a stable floor (concrete is steadier than a springy wooden floor), anchor the cabinet firmly to the wall and level the washing machine perfectly. That way the vibration is absorbed to best effect.
